Her studio space in La Catedral Studios is named Sparklicous Studios to reflect the variety of media created here and the energy of the space. After developing her love for writing while at the Irish Daily Star, her blog is central. It is a space to create, build community, and remind people how important for emotional well-being it is to have a creative outlet.
Being an ever-social butterfly (both digitally and physically), she is always joining or starting creative communities.
Caitríona is an active member of the Dublin Sketchers and Plein Eire (plein air artists in Ireland), working primarily in watercolours and spray paint, and is the founder of the Dublin Sewing Circle.
With a background in programming, graphic design and digital marketing, she is now offering an array of digital services to artists and small businesses. If you need help planning out what to put on your Facebook page, or knowing what to tweet about Caitríona is a one-stop-shop in social media strategies. Not only can Caitríona set you up with a shiny new website, complete with full search engine optimisation, but she will also teach you how to update it easily yourself, and without having to learn any code.
Qualifying and working as a freelance make up artist in 2009, but now focusing on more abstract, conceptual make up to complement body art. With more than 12 years face painting experience, Caitríona now practices full body painting. Partaking in the Guinness World Record achieved for most people body painted, and annually at the World Naked Bike Ride in Cork, her designs are inspired by abstract and pop artists of the twentieth century.
Whether body painting political slogans, spray painting a canvas en plein air, or creating a website, all creative endeavours are approached with the same vigour and spirit.
